First and fore mostly my wife and I wish to sincerely thank you for making our first visit to Sri-Lanka a memorable one. You have not just been a tour guide for us , but a friend and an advisor all around and will not forget you for this . That was our first time in sri lanka and I think it won’t be last one . Big thanks to Nuwan , our tour guide , who made our holiday wonderful . Although we had just a week but have seen many beautiful unforgettable places like kandy (dance show , Temple ,Kandy Lake ) amazing sigiriya , The Elephant Orphanage , tea plantation ….. we had cool activities such as rafting , Elephant Riding and washing , watched sea turtles , we went to gall as well . every our steps were organised by Nuwan,very kind reliable person . we wish to him a success! sri lanka is a realy beautiful country and I love the every city we had been but my favorite city is Nuwaraeliya . The only pity thing was that we we only had 4days so it’s not enougth to visit more places in sri lanka But next time I will come again with more friends.

White water rafting
Sri Lanka one of the fun making adventurous water sports is white water rafting trips in the rapids full of water in the river Kalaniya. The location is by the Kelaniya river 90km from Colombo (2.5hrs drive) the rafting trips way goes down 7km along the river. The both banks are full green trees. on your way down in the rapids you will see the place of the world famous filmed in 1957 Bridge on the river Kwai which won the Oscar award in 7 times produced by David lean this place is world recognized because of this film.
The Elephant Back Ride In a Jungle Trek
This is a movable experience to any who participate in this well l tamed elephant accompanied by an intelligent mahout will take you on a seat kept on the back of the elephant. you will go through a lonely road passing a village up to a lake or lagoon. The elephant will always try to keep you happy and safer position on his body. There is no hesitation once you finish this marvelous experience you very kind to the elephant. Most tourists show much interest to have this experience in natural wild life .
Hikkaduwa on Sri Lanka’s south west coast is the popular spot for surfing. Arugam Bay on the east coast is the island’s top surfing location. For it’s well worth the long journey the south coast has many secluded spots sited fairly close together allowing you to base yourself in one place and be able to try them all. Other top sports for surfing along the coast include Mirissa , Matara and weligama . the best waves are generally around October to May.

Turtle Watching in Sri Lanka
Five of the eight species of remaining sea turtles today, regularly visit the sandy beaches of Sri Lanka To nest. They are the Green Turtle, the Leatherback, the Hawksbill, the Loggerhead and the Olive Ridley. All 5 species have been recorded to nest along specific areas of Sri Lanka’s coast. In Sri Lanka all sea turtle and their products are fully protected under fauna and flora protection Ordinance. Anyone found to be violating the condition of the Ordinance is able to face a substantial fine and/or prison term. Sea turtle frequent the western coastline and areas famous for turtle watching, which is a fascinating experience, are beaches around Induruwa and Kosgoda .
Whale and Dolphin Watching
Whale watching became one of latest trend of the Sri Lanka tourism. Sri Lanka is a very popular destination for Whale and Dolphin watching . Dondra point of down south in Sri Lanka is the main point of whale watching in Sri Lanka during December to April . out of these months December , January and April are the peak months of sightings . During the these months there is 95% chances of spotting sperm whales and great chances of spotting blue whales as their migration path is just off dondra point. Also there are good chances of spotting spinner Dolphins also off Dondra . Whale & dolphin watching tours could be arranged in Mirissa during the season between November to April.
Fishing is the activity of the to catch fish. Fish are normally caught in the wild. A common sight between ahangama (Galle District) and weligama is the fishermen fishing on stilts erected close to the shore. At Koggala they are seen in clusters

Yala National Park is the most visited and second largest national park in Sri Lanka .
Yala National Park Situated 309 km. south of Colombo, Yala is approximately 1,259 sqkm. In extent and is located in the south eastern corner of the island. Its northern boundaries border on the Lahugala Elephant Sanctuary and it has the added bonus of a scenic ocean frontage. The terrain is varied flat plains alternating with rocky outcrops.
The vegetation ranges from open parkland to dense jungle. Water holes, small lakes, lagoons and streams provide water for the animals and birds. The specialty here is the large numbers of elephants. Sri Lanka’s 22 national parks include two marine parks at Hikkaduwa and Pigeon Island .
Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage
Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage is an orphanage, nursery and captive breeding ground for wild Asian elephants located at Pinnawala village, 13 km (8.1 mi) northwest of Kegalle town in Sabaragamuwa Province of Sri Lanka. Pinnawalla is notable for having the largest herd of
captive elephants in the world. In 2011, there were 88 elephants, including 37 males and 51 females from 3 generations, living in Pinnawala. The orphanage was originally founded in order to afford care and protection to many of the orphaned unearned wild elephants found
wandering in and near the forests of Sri Lanka. It was established in 1975 by the Sri Lanka Department of Wildlife Conservation
Madu River Boat Safari – boat ride – sri lanka
The Maadu River is a paradise of nature. This river is found on your way to Galle in the southern province. A beautiful river mixed with sea water. The both banks of the river covered with mangroves and Species of various plants. you can see beautiful small islands speeded over the area. While doing this safari you can visit a temple also with a tall Buddha statue in standing posture in an Island named “koth Duwa” A little break at the temple. The peeling of cinnamon also can be seen in one of the Island.
Very rarely you will find crocodiles but a large number of water monitors and beautiful birds are seen beautiful in these Islands. You will see how to true the prawn using the traditional ways of trapping. from the main Colombo Galle road the boat riders will take you through the net groves of mangroves in which you can see water monitors king fisher’s, wood peckers, megalaima rubricapilla ( crimson frontea Barbex ) Black – hooded oriole and large number of birds in flocks. On your way you also will see a fish breeding center in the middle of the river.
You can enjoy one hour dance performances in several places in kandy. Every evening from 17:00, a traditional dance show is demonstrated in the city of Kandy.
Hummanaya (Blow Hole)
The Hummanaya as it is called is a Blow Hole, created by the weathering of the Rocky Coast. It’s Located after Matara and Dikwella town in the south province and at small fishing village Called Kudawell .On a Good Day, the spray of water can reach a very huge high and is thrilling to watch.
Diving & Snorkeling
Sri Lanka’s coastal waters provide excellent diving and snorkeling opportunities southern coast the island, during the November to April season. A wide coral reef surround Sri Lanka’s coasting making it ideal makes it ideal for diving. An underwater journey into the aquamarine waters of the Indian Ocean rewards you with glimpse of a totally different world, full of astounding color and life . Home to a magical variety of tropical fish and coral reefs, the calm ocean water also lay claim to some historic wrecks that unusual exploration opportunities. The more laid – back activity of Snorkeling is a popular past- time in many southern coastal areas while Pigeon Island in Nilaveli on the east coast offers some of the beast . The Coral Gardens of Hikkaduwa are famous and can be viewed by Glass Bottom Boats. Diving is also possible with several places renting scuba gear. The sunsets are very beautiful.

Sri Lanka is a tropical island situated close to the southern tip of India. Sri Lanka’s abundant bird-life makes the island a true ornithologist’s paradise. Of the 427 recorded Species, 250 are resident and 33 are endemic to the country. A Glimpse into Sri Lankan Village Life
The tour commences with a cart ride on a traditional Sri Lankan working cattle cart, meandering through a small rural village down to a fresh water lagoon. From the cart you will step onto a local village canoe. The local guide will point out the native flora and fauna along the way as you head towards a small section of land used for village agriculture, growing seasonal crops of rice, onions and others. The guide may even make you a hat out of lotus leaf to protect you from the sun.
From the canoe ride you will walk through the fields to the working home of those tending the crops. The friendly villagers will offer you a herbal tea with jaggery (Sri Lankan sugar) and show you their very basic but beautiful way of life. Once refreshed its back to the canoe heading back across the lagoon picking up some fresh lotus leaf to act as your plate during lunch. Back on land its time for lunch, feasting on traditional local food such as wild rice, various curries and fresh fried lagoon fish.
This is a great opportunity to give a little back to the hard working yet very poor local villagers. Highly recommended

Day 05 – NUWARAELIYA / YALA – 170KM – 3 HOURS
After Breakfast Leave for Yala via Tissamaharama En route visit water falls.
Visit the legendary Ravana Ella water fall which is linked with the Rama –Sita legend.
Ravana Ella – When Rama was approaching with his army, Ravana moved Sita to a densely forested locality in the Uva Region and hid Sita in cave known as Ravana Ella cave. Here one can see the beautiful Ravana Ella water fall about 4500 feet above sea level.
Sita is said to have roamed around in captivity in this area and bathed in a pool within a rock by the swirling waters of the Ravana Ella

Horton Plains National Park
Day 04 – NUWARAELIYA
After Breakfast Leave for Nuwaraeliya Sightseeing visit Worlds End ( Horton Pains ) & water falls. Commence Nuwara Eliya sightseeing including a visit Water Falls
Horton Plains, the coldest and windiest location in Sri Lanka consists of ecosystems such as Montane evergreen forests, grasslands, marshy lands and aquatic ecosystem. At an altitude of 2,100 meters above sea level, Horton Plains spreads across over 3,169 hectares of the highest tableland of the island. In view of the large number of endemic flora and fauna species, Horton Plains was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site on 30th July 2010. The escarpment with a depth of 900 meters called World’s End and Baker’s Falls are the highlights of the Horton Plains.
